Wake-REM

R.E.M. stands for rapid eye movement, a stage in sleep that occurs several times a night, when dreaming most often occurs. In this stage, metabolism, immunity and the healing process is heightened, rejuvenating the mind and body by helping the sleeper to activate important functions of the autonomic nervous system and the endocrine system which depends on healthy circadian rhythmicity.

During the night, we go through different sleep cycles, from NREM to REM more than once, which characterizes this cycle as an Ultradian Cycle (cycle repeated within 24 hours).

DREAMING AWAKE

The body's neural oscillations separate Wake from Sleep.  As such, our brain regions and functions were carefully designed over Deep History to inhibit REM awareness during Wake, when Beta-Gamma alertness is prioritized over Delta-Theta slowness and drowsiness.  When we allow REM stages to take place during the Day, very old patterns are reconditioned, shifting oscillatory sequences which took millions of years to program and congeal.

The Playlists designed for our processes mimic the stages of sleep, allowing the body to access its while awake, increasing our recovery time and potentiating neuroplasticity in the brain. By using only music/Sound and the body's innate ability to heal and dream, this process offers non-invasive approaches to overall health.
